D2R Runeword is made up of one D2R Rune after another. In the Diablo 2 Rune List, there are 33 Runes, which can be included in any individual Runeword. It takes time if we want to know each of them and what they are used for. But this time, let's start with Crescent Moon first.

What is Crescent Moon

Crescent Moon Runeword has three Runes – Shael Rune, Um Rune, Tir Rune, which must be in order. This Runeword is fairly easy to make because it only has one higher Rune – Um. Crescent Moon is a very amazing Runeword. It is useful to Sorceresses and Paladin.

What Attributes Does Crescent Moon Have

Crescent Moon has many useful attributes below:

10% Chance To Cast Level 17 Chain Lightning On Striking

7% Chance To Cast Level 13 Static Field On Striking

+20% Increased Attack Speed

+180-220% Enhanced Damage

Ignore Target's Defense

-35% To Enemy Lightning Resist

25% Chance of Open Wounds

+9-11 Magic Absorb

+2 To Mana After Each Kill

Level 18 Summon Spirit Wolf (30 Charges)

Players need to keep in mind：

The Enemy Lightning Resist only applies to characters equipped with it. Players can apply it to their character or mercenary.

Ignore Target's Defense does not work on bosses.

What Weapons Can Crescent Moon Be Placed in

Crescent Moon can be placed in weapons of axes, polearms, or swards. These eligible base weapons, including normal, exceptional, and elite variants, must meet the requirement of three sockets to place in three Runes to make up Crescent Moon Runeword.

Some Eligible Bases:

Axes: Small Crescent, Ettin Axe, War Spike, Berserker Axe

Polearms: Bardiche, Voulge, Scythe, Poleaxe.

Swords: Phase Blade, Conquest Sword, Cryptic Sword, Mythical Sword.

What Level Does Crescent Moon Need

The level requirement of any Runeword is always the highest Rune in this Runeword. Because the highest Rune of Crescent Moon is Um, whose level is 47, Crescent Moon's level requirement is 47.

Why Choose to Use Crescent Moon

If players want to decrease enemies' Lightning Resistance, they can also use Infinity Runeword. But Infinity Runeword needs two Ber Runes, which are difficult to get. Moreover, it can only be constructed by ladder characters. Compared with Infinity Runeword, Crescent Moon is relatively easy to get.
