Share To Your:Firelink Shrine serves as a safe haven for the unkindled after they defeat the first boss in Dark Souls 3, allowing them to level up via the Fire Keeper 1. It is comprised of three interconnected areas: the area within the walls of the shrine itself and the area outside of it 3. This guide aims to provide a walkthrough of Firelink Shrine, helping players locate collectible items, secrets, and shortcuts 4.
Firelink Shrine is described as a new home that may not be much but serves its purpose. Upon entering, players will encounter Hawkwood the Deserter on the right, who grants the Collapse Emote. The Fire Keeper is located in the center by an unlit bonfire, offering the ability to level up using souls collected from enemies, bosses, or soul items. The Fire Keeper explains the task of defeating the Lords of Cinder who have abandoned their thrones.
To the left of the large center throne, players can find the corpse of Ludleth of Courland, a Lord of Cinder who remained. He will offer assistance later in the game. A corridor beneath the main entrance leads to the Shrine Handmaid, who sells useful items like the Torch, and Andre the Blacksmith, who provides services such as reinforcing weapons and flasks, infusing weapons with gems, repairing equipment, and changing the ratio of Estus to Ashen Estus flasks. Andre also gives the Hurrah! Emote.
An alternate exit can be found by heading up the stairs to the left of the main entrance. The path to the Bell Tower is located on the left, requiring the Tower Key purchasable from the handmaid for 20,000 souls 25. A Soul of a Deserted Corpse can be found to the left of the gate. Heading downwards, players can inspect a tree that may yield a Seed of a Giant Tree if invaded by players or NPCs.
A Homeward Bone can be found on a corpse after hopping over the coffins to a landing below. An Ember is located on a corpse to the right over the shrine's entrance. Dropping down to another path guarded by a Bone Hound reveals another Ember by the wall. The left path behind the entrance leads to two Hollow guarding an East-West Shield.
Further up on the left, players will encounter a nearly naked Master Swordsman wielding a katana. Defeating him yields the Master’s Attire, Master's Gloves, and the Uchigatana. The path behind him is locked.
With the Tower Key, players can unlock the door to the Bell Tower. Ascending the spiral staircase leads to a walkway above the shrine. Inside the belltower, an elevator takes players to the top, where the remains of an old Fire Keeper hold a Fire Keeper Soul.
Looking down the pit in the elevator reveals a coffin that allows safe descent. Landing on the coffin leads to the Fire Keeper Set. Dropping to the bottom reveals a corpse with an Estus Ring. A nearby door unlocks to the area where the Master Swordsman was encountered.
Returning to the walkway leading to the belltower, players can drop down to a pillar below to find a ladder. Dropping down behind the shrine reveals a Crystal Lizard, which yields a Twinkling Titanite upon defeat.
A nest above the firelink shrine allows players to trade items with a crow by leaving items like a Firebomb or Homeward Bone.
Dropping onto the lower roof above the shrine's entrance reveals a corpse with 3 Homeward Bones. A small entrance into the rafters of the Firelink Shrine leads to an Estus Shard. Striking the wall reveals an illusory wall leading to a secret area with a chest containing a Covetous Silver Serpent Ring.
Firelink Shrine is a central location in Dark Souls 3, offering a safe haven and various services. Exploring the shrine and its surroundings reveals numerous items, secrets, and encounters, enhancing the player's journey through the game.
